IDO Media is a national, full-service marketing agency with its head office in Winnipeg and branch offices in Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton. We specialize in connecting businesses to Canada’s Chinese market. Through customized full-scale marketing and advertising plans, we create and execute result-oriented campaigns with optimal outcomes.
We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team at our head office located at 1455 Waverley Street in Winnipeg. As the Marketing Assistant, you are the first contact for potential clients as they learn about IDO Media and the services we provide. You are responsible for generating leads, communicating with potential clients, taking sales calls, and closing sales.
This is a full time permanent working 30 – 35 hours/week, plus commission incentive (5% – 10%), and group benefits eligible after 3 months’ probation.
Generating Leads – find leads for our products and services, using platforms such as Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram to communicate with potential clients and educate on our services and solutions we have to support them
Sales Reach – email, phone or visit potential clients walking them through the importance of Chinese consumer market and our products / services
Convert Client – Preparing service proposal and presentations to potential clients, negotiating contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profit
Follow Up – after sales calls, continue communication and nurturing for anyone who didn’t buy on the call, set up subsequent appointments if appropriate
Customer Service – providing customer service and building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationship
Social Media Management – Create consistent posts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.) targeted at specific audiences and demographics on IDO Media social platforms
Flexibility – Occasionally able to work in evening or weekend to accommodate the client’s schedule.
Fluency in Mandarin is an asset
At least 1 year of sales and/or marketing experience
Highly developed sales and presentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate detailed information
Work related experience in social media and interactive/new media
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, etc.
Clean driving record and able to clear a criminal record check
Client focused, attention to detail and a team player
