Coordinates the administration of all benefit plans and provides information to employees and management regarding benefit entitlements and the application of related policies and procedures.  Prepares reports and statistics and keeps up to date on regulatory changes, industry trends and best practices.


Coordinates the administration of all benefit plans for the TransLink Enterprise including all leave plans, pension plans and programs, and health and welfare plans ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and, as applicable, collective agreements for all active and inactive employees (e.g. retired and deceased).

Participates in the maintenance and modification of all benefit programs and plans.  Assists in the setup of new and updated plans and associated rates and rules within the HRIS system.

Assists in researching and analyzing regulatory changes, industry trends, best practices, emerging changes and collective agreement changes impacting benefit administration.  Provides input into the development of new or changed policies and procedures related to benefits.

Provides information to employees and management (via intranet, in person, meetings, etc.) regarding benefit entitlements and the application of related policies and procedures.

Participates and represents the Benefits area in various benefits and human resources related projects to improve business practices and procedures.



Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources.

Three years prior experience in human resources with a minimum of one year in benefit and pension administration is essential.


– Solid knowledge of the principles and practices of benefits and pension administration.

– Excellent oral and written communication skills.

– Ability to multi task and remain composed when dealing with sensitive events/issues/activities.

– Standard word processing tools including spreadsheet and web based systems e.g. HRIS

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay

Salary starting from $62,357 per annum

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Dental, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan.
